Pledge Refunds are NOT Available
Once a campaign successfully closes and pledges are processed the funds are under the sole control of the Creator, and any refunds would need to be worked out between the Creator and Fan with no expectation that refunds will be offered for any reason.
ALL Campaigns have Inherent Risks
These risks may be both anticipated and unforeseen—and Fans should take care to assess both the potential risks of each campaign and their own personal tolerance for risks.
FanFuture requires every Creator to update a campaign with a candid discussion of those risks they anticipate when they move a campaign forward to help facilitate these risk assessments. However, Fans should ultimately rely on their own research, experience and assessment and use any disclosures by the Creator as simply an additional data point.
It should be noted that Fans who pledge prior to a Creator’s involvement and risk disclosure are tacitly agreeing to any subsequent risks associated or emerging from the campaign.
Unless a Creator’s disclosed risks are substantially greater than what a reasonable and experienced crowdfunding user would normally associate with a comparable project, Fans will not be permitted to withdraw their pledges. This determination will be made in the same manner as any other change to the campaign is dealt with—by a majority vote of all pledging Fans.
FanFuture Obligations
Once a campaign successfully closes—meaning it reaches 100%+ of its funding target, the window for accepting pledges has closed and STRIPE has processed all pledges—FanFuture’s obligations to Fans of this campaign is complete with respect to pledges.
FanFuture will then direct the funds to the Creator—less all fees and charitable contributions—and all claims for refunds, for any reason must be handled directly between the Fan and the Creator.
FanFuture always encourages Creators and Fans to work together creatively and compassionately in good faith to resolve any disputes or issues as they arise. We may elect to attempt to facilitate a resolution, but no such action on our part constitutes or demonstrates an ongoing obligation to either the Fans or the Creator.
If Fans have questions or concerns about a campaign or Creator they have pledged toward, they should let us know here.
