If a Creator offers any bonus rewards, all existing Fan pledges can be reshuffled toward those rewards.
Fans can reshuffle their existing pledges anytime between when they are made and when a campaign closes—giving Fans ultimate freedom and confidence that their pledges will be applied as they wish, even as the campaign evolves.
Reshuffled pledges can include any combination of rewards or direct pledge support—so long as the new total allocation meets or exceeds the original pledge amount.
How to Reshuffle
The Reshuffle feature is located in the user profile section, accessible under ‘my pledge’.
Fans simply select the ‘DETAILS’ button for a pledge, then select ‘RESHUFFLE’.
Typical Reshuffle Examples:
Fans pledge toward a campaign for a new board game.
When the game designer signs off on the project, they must—at a minimum—agree to make the board game available as a reward with the price set at a comparable ‘all-in’ price equal to the expected MSRP plus reasonable S&H and inclusive of estimated taxes.
For our examples, suppose the Creator ultimately offers both of the following as rewards:
- A standard board game copy for $30
- An exclusive edition of the board game with additional premium components for $75
Any pledge a Fan has made can be reshuffled toward either reward so a few likely scenarios are:
- If a Fan had already pledged $20 toward the campaign, they would only need to pledge an additional $10 to claim their $30 standard copy as a reward.
- In a related scenario, a Fan who originally pledged $40 might reshuffle their pledge to select the same $30 board game reward and opt to simply leave $10 as a direct contribution toward the successful completion of the campaign.
- Or, they might choose to essentially ‘top up’ their original $40 pledge with an additional $20 to select a second copy of the game as a future gift ($60 now = Two $30 rewards)
- Or, they might instead add $35 to claim the premium $75 reward tier.
- Finally, if a generous Fan has already pledged $90 they could choose to reshuffle that pledge to include three $30 board game rewards (family christmas shopping done!)
- Or they could reshuffle and pledge an additional $15 to cover one $75 copy for themselves, and claim an additional $30 copy to give to a friend.
- Or they might keep it simple and just claim their $75 copy while leaving $15 as an excess pledge toward the overall success of the campaign.
In all cases the reshuffled total must simply remain equal to or greater than the original pledged amount which the Creator relied upon when setting the goals and agreeing to the campaign.
Will there always be additional rewards?
While the choice to offer additional rewards is always up to the Creators, we do anticipate that most Creators will offer additional rewards.
These could include:
- signed copies
- exclusive design elements and artwork
- limited editions
- upgraded versions with premium construction components
- exciting experiences, release parties, etc.
