FanFuture Campaigns are Open Ended

Campaigns are launched without a predetermined duration or funding goal. 

Because the proposed project of a campaign cannot be fulfilled without involvement from its intended Creator, that campaign will continue to grow until its Creator commits to fulfill the project’s goal in exchange for the pledged funds, or asks us to close or remove the campaign.

Typical Campaign Timeline

Target Set – Funding Deadline

Typically, one of the Targets Set during that crucial phase is a time deadline for Fans to reach the funding goal by.  This isn’t necessary, but most campaigns will have a deadline goal and from experience it is typically around 30 days. 

Funded – Automatic 14 Day Extension

Regardless of any prior funding deadline, all campaigns that successfully fund are automatically extended as needed to permit a minimum 14 day window to allow other Fans to join in the fun.  

So for example, if a campaign meets the funding goal ON the deadline day–way to procrastinate Fans!–that will enable a new 14 day extension for ’bandwagon Fans’ to pile on.  

If, however, a campaign met its funding goal with 10 days to go, the window would for pledges would automatically be extended 4 days.

*Note* There is no such extension for any Stretch Funding goals, so grab those ASAP.
