We kindly and strongly ask that all Fans, Founders & Creators use only that intellectual property (IP) which is already theirs or which they have the rights to use.
Creator Control / Campaign Takedown Requests & Options
If you’re an intended Creator–that is, you’re mentioned in a Fan’s campaign–and you simply wish for a campaign to be removed, you don’t need to go through the more formal process below, though that’s up to you.
If you simply reach out to our team at either DMCA@fanfuture.com or Support@fanfuture.com and ask, we’ll oblige. We want this to be a win-win for you and your fans.
If you’d like, we can also walk you through some options for how you might want to navigate the takedown process should you wish to connect with your fans and thank them for their creativity and passion while potentially redirecting them to another project of yours.
We also maintain a ‘not interested’ list of Creators which we can add you to, if requested, so that (ideally) no further Fan campaigns are launched concerning you or your IP.
Or you can elect to require pre-authorization of the publishing of any future campaigns on a case by case basis if you prefer–which allows you to see a window into what your most passionate Fans want while maintaining control over whether a campaign ‘goes live’.
In this case, campaigns you authorize would launch simply as ‘On Radar’ indicating to your Fans that you’re aware the campaign exists but have not yet entered into negotiations on potential targets and terms etc.

Counter Notice
As a general rule, if a Creator wants something taken down, we’re taking it down. Full stop.
Even though you may have a valid counterclaim or IP fair use defense, our goal at FanFuture is to find win-win futures where Creator’s are inspired by their Fans and fighting against any Creator’s wishes does nothing to help our community achieve a more creative, fin and compassionate future.
In the event that you receive a notification from FanFuture stating select content posted by you has been subject to a DMCA takedown, you may respond by filing a counter-notice pursuant to the DMCA. Your counter-notice must contain the following:
- Your name, address, email and physical or electronic signature.
- The notification reference number (if applicable).
- Identification of the material and its location before it was removed.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Your consent to the jurisdiction of a federal court in the district where you live (if you are in the U.S.), or your consent to the jurisdiction of a federal court in the district where your internet service provider is located (if you are not in the US).
- Your consent to accept service of process from the party who submitted the takedown notice.
Please be aware that we may not take any action regarding your counter-notice unless your notification strictly complies with the foregoing requirements. Please send this counter-notice in accordance with the takedown notice instructions above to DMCA@fanfuture.com
Repeat Infringers and 3 Strikes Policy
Like many other content platforms, and in compliance with DMCA regulations, we adhere to a policy of blocking content publishing privileges for users who repeatedly infringe upon, or are subjects of infringement claims from, copyright holders.
If a user receives 3 infringement claims, determined by our team to be reasonably valid, then that user’s account may be suspended or deleted, but in all cases, they will have the capability to post campaigns removed.
If our team has reason to believe a user is attempting to circumvent this policy through multiple related accounts they will be blocked as violating our TOS regardless of any claims against any particular account they may be deemed to control.
