Founders should recognize that once they launch a campaign on FanFuture the idea is effectively in the public space.
While still protected by any existing laws and regulations, as a practical matter—per the TOS—all intellectual property (IP) and any ideas posted to FanFuture become the forever, perpetual-licensed property of FanFuture. Full stop.
This includes being used for the purpose of maintaining campaigns on the site and for any related advertising purposes. Look, we’re not trying to ‘steal your IP’ but we need the rights to make continued use of that IP for the benefit of FanFuture and the community of Fans who have been inspired to support the campaign.
Also, it’s worth reiterating anywhere we mention IP…please only use IP you have the rights to. Cheers.
